About this file

This is Addendum #1 issued by TRC Engineers, Inc. for the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation's Fairy Stone State Park Utilities/ADA Upgrades project (199-18256-003). The project involves replacing water and electrical lines at 48 campsites, providing new water and electrical service to four yurt sites, combining sites 38 and 10 into a single ADA-accessible site, abandoning sites 19 and 23, installing a debris tank at the dump station, replacing the water tower, installing a septic tank riser, and creating one handicapped parking space. The addendum includes pre-bid meeting minutes, wage determinations, and revised drawings. Bids are due October 29, 2024 at 2:00 PM at TRC Engineers in Richmond, with a mandatory pre-bid meeting held on October 15, 2024.

The project includes specific wage rates set by the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry for various trades including carpenters, electricians, laborers, and equipment operators. The work requires careful coordination around existing trees and roots, with specific guidelines for asphalt milling and utility installation to minimize damage. The park will remain open during construction, with work hours restricted to dawn to dusk. Contractors must stage materials and park vehicles in designated areas, and obtain approval for any tree removal beyond what is specified in the plans.
