About this file

This document is Addendum 1 for a Concrete Walkway Replacement project issued by the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) for a location at 115-29 217th Street in Cambria Heights, NY. The addendum provides detailed responses to vendor questions regarding the project specifications, including confirmation that no contract drawings will be issued, the concrete slab thickness will be 4.5 inches, and the contractor is responsible for confirming the final walkway layout and elevation. The solicitation date is 04/25/2025, with bids due on 06/11/2025, and the document was updated on 04/13/2025.

The addendum clarifies several key project details, such as the requirement to use metal wire mesh instead of fiber mesh concrete, the inclusion of the adjacent curb in the current scope of work, and the need for contractors to handle utility mark-out and permits. OPWDD will conduct work inspections and hold a preliminary meeting, and ADA compliance details for walkway transitions will be discussed after the bid is won. The document emphasizes that contractors should incorporate all provided information into their project estimates, with no change orders anticipated for the curb work, which was discussed in a prior meeting.
