About this file

This is Construction Bid Addendum No. 01 issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB), State Facilities Administration Design & Construction Division for the Clare Welcome Center Boiler Replacement project (File Number 591/26452.AGY). The addendum was issued on October 13, 2026, with a bid opening date of October 21, 2026, and names Matthew Lusby as the MDOT Project Director. The addendum modifies the project timeline by extending the substantial completion date from December 18, 2026, to January 31, 2027. Key documentation included with this addendum comprises a prebid sign-in sheet and responses to questions raised during prebid discussions. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their bid submissions, as failure to do so may result in bid rejection.

The addendum clarifies several project specifications based on prebid inquiries. The Clare Welcome Center will utilize new temperature controls integrated with the existing system rather than stand-alone programmable controls, and no external controls contractor is currently designated. The existing roof carries no active warranty, allowing roof penetrations without restriction. The project does not employ a separate mechanical prime contractor, and bidders are responsible for identifying and engaging necessary subcontractors, including electrical contractors for equipment connections. The water source for the boiler system will remain unchanged from current conditions without implementation of a glycol system, maintaining the existing system configuration as-is.
