About this file
This is Addendum #1 to a solicitation issued by the State of Georgia for the purchase of smoke alarms on an annual contract (BL043-22). The addendum addresses three key bidder inquiries regarding the contract requirements. The solicitation seeks smoke alarms with specifications that include more advanced features than previously contracted models. While the exact quantity is not specified in the addendum, the solicitation lists an estimated annual purchase volume that may fluctuate based on actual demand. The number of orders per year will vary, though bidders should anticipate multiple purchase orders throughout the contract period. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum in the designated space on page 5 of the invitation to ensure their bids are deemed responsive; failure to acknowledge may result in bid rejection.
Regarding pricing and delivery terms, the addendum references a screenshot of current pricing from the previous contract award, though the new alarm specifications command different pricing due to enhanced features. The desirable delivery timeframe is 14 to 21 days or less from the time of order. No information regarding set-asides, incumbent contractors, or specific funding sources is included in this addendum. Bidders should note that the variation in order frequency and quantities requires flexibility in supply chain management and inventory planning.
