About this file

This document is an Addendum No. 1 for the Lake Robinhood Stormwater Improvement Project (IFB 2502301) issued by the City of Leesburg, Florida. The addendum provides clarifications and responses to bidder questions for a stormwater infrastructure project involving storm pipe installation, replacement of storm inlets, and associated civil works. The project includes 610 linear feet of 15" storm pipe, 99 linear feet of 24" storm pipe, 7 Type "V" storm inlets, concrete end walls, and related site work such as tree removal, sidewalk construction, and sodding. The engineer's estimate for the project is $204,309.60 as of 9/26/24, and bidders can participate with either a Certified General Contractor (CGC) or Certified Underground Utility and Excavation Contractor (CUC) license.

The addendum includes specific guidance on project execution, such as minimizing tree removal, requiring one-to-one tree replacement if removal is necessary, and mandating that contractors obtain resident permissions for property access. Contractors must include costs for pole holding at several intersection points and are advised that open-cut pipe replacement will only be used as a last resort. The itemized price schedule includes a 20% contingency, with line items covering mobilization, general conditions, testing, tree removal, pipe demolition, storm inlet installation, concrete work, and maintenance of traffic. Bidders are required to complete and return the revised Itemized Price Schedule dated 8/11/2025 with their proposal bid form.
