About this file
This document is Addendum 1 to the bidding documents for the Cooper Street Correctional Facility - Asphalt Repairs contract, issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) State Facilities Administration Design and Construction Division. The addendum provides clarifications and details regarding the project, including a 120-day contract duration, the ability to have two crews working simultaneously (one inside the secured area and one outside), the requirement for concrete work at the food services loading dock to be completed first, and that material testing will be provided through the Professional Services Consultant's (PSC) contract. The addendum also notes that an administrative gate manifest can be used to expedite entry of materials into the secured area, bathroom facilities will be made available by the facility, and no electrical work will be required by the contractor. A pre-bid sign-in sheet is attached.
The contract opportunity is for asphalt repairs at the Cooper Street Correctional Facility in Jackson County, Michigan. The bid opening date is March 6, 2024. The addendum indicates that Ground Penetrating Radar is required for areas where underground storm sewer and electrical lines will be installed, and any found utilities shall be hydro-excavated, with payment for hydro-excavation coming from an allowance.
