The Middle School of Plainville Renovations will be divided into five (5) separate phases and subsequent sub-phases in order to maintain school operations throughout construction. All work shall be performed in such a manner in support of maintaining school operations and will be closely coordinated with the Construction Manager and appropriate School Administration. Shutdowns and

“tie-ins” of all utility services will be scheduled in advance with the Construction Manager during hours that minimize or eliminate any impact to school functions. Each Subcontractor is responsible to relocate, maintain, support, remove, re-install, maintain functionality, maintain uninterrupted services, and maintain the current systems for the systems covered under their Scope of Work as required by phasing.

All Subcontractors must pay special attention to the school bus operations, student and staff activity that will occur adjacent to construction activities during the school season. Vehicles and equipment shall not be left unattended at any time in bus, student or staff travel routes. Deliveries and vehicle exiting are not allowed during school student arrival and departure hours. All Subcontractors shall assume that any work that is necessary to be performed outside the staging boundaries in occupied interior or exterior school space will be performed during hours that minimize or eliminate any impact to school function. Special temporary protection measures/enclosures will be provided to separate the work area from the occupied area. Each subcontractor will restore the area to acceptable school standards at the end of each work period. There will be a strict policy of absolutely

NO CONTACT OR FRATERNIZATION WITH SCHOOL STUDENTS OR STAFF and NO use of foul or offensive language on the jobsite or school property. In addition, there is NO SMOKING OR VAPING allowed on the jobsite or school property.
