About this file
This document is an addendum to a solicitation issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) for painting services at the Florida State Hospital (FSH) Mental Health Treatment Facility in Chattahoochee, Florida. The addendum updates the timeline, including additional mandatory in-person pre-bid conferences on April 10 and April 13, 2023, and extends the deadline for written questions to April 19, 2023. The scope of work includes providing labor, materials, and equipment for painting services, including repair and prep work, within Buildings 1028, 1238, and 1243 at FSH. The anticipated contract term is from May 22, 2023, through September 30, 2023, with a possible three-year continued painting maintenance contract.
The addendum also clarifies that state-certified general or building contractors can bid on this specialty contract work, provided they use a specialty subcontractor who meets the Department's qualification requirements and is identified in the general contractor's bid. The bid sheet (Appendix V) has been replaced, providing details on the number of employees, hours, and gallons of paint required for each building, as well as pricing for ongoing maintenance services and materials.
