About this file

This Addendum No. 1, issued May 8, 2023, by Ramsay Sherrill Architects for the College of Coastal Georgia (CCGA), clarifies specifications and drawings for the Police Department Relocation project (CCGA-2310). The project involves interior renovations to an existing building, including removal of interior partitions and systems, installation of new partitions (both rated and non-rated), finishes, hollow metal frames, wood doors, aluminum storefront entry, signage, and reworking of existing HVAC, fire alarm, and electrical systems. The building is unsprinklered and lacks roof hatch access; all roof access will be from the exterior. The project falls under State Fire Marshal review. The bid date is May 23, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., with public opening in the Facilities and Plant Operations Conference Room. The deadline for submitting questions is Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. A pre-bid conference was held on May 2, 2023. Bidders are required to field verify all existing dimensions and conditions and coordinate any utility interruptions with Plant Operations one week in advance. The project includes three deductive alternates: deletion of RTU-4 replacement, deletion of the solid surface counter at the reception/lobby wall, and deletion of hollow metal door frames and wood doors (to be provided by the Owner).

Bidders must submit a bid bond in an amount not less than five percent of the total bid and execute the Contract within ten days of notification of bid acceptance. Upon contract execution, bidders agree to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the Contract Sum. The bidder must propose the number of consecutive calendar days required for project completion due to supply chain and material availability uncertainties. The bid remains open for acceptance for thirty-five days following the bid opening. Emergency generator provision and installation will occur at a later date; infrastructure and associated work for the generator are included in the current scope, but not the generator itself. Existing painted flooring shall remain in place with prep work only as necessary for new flooring installation. All bids must be accompanied by certification under oath and a notarized signature in blue ink.
