About this file

This is an acceptance letter from the Orlando Utilities Commission (OUC) dated May 19, 2020, notifying applicants of their status in the Preferred Contractor Network (PCN) Program. The PCN Program solicits qualified contractors to provide services across 17 technical disciplines including Advanced Water Leak Detection, Backflow Testing/Repair, Electrical, HVAC/Duct Repair, Solar Photovoltaic Systems, Plumbing, Indoor Lighting, Infrared Thermography, Insulation, Irrigation, Mechanical & Controls, Performance Testing, Roofing, and Window Improvement. The letter confirms acceptance of seven contractors into the program: Aaron's Backflow (Backflow Testing/Repair, Fireline Backflow Testing/Repair); Constructive Resources Inc. DBA Superior Solar Systems (Solar Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal Systems); Franks Air Conditioning (HVAC/Duct Repair); Mechanical Services (HVAC/Duct Repair, Insulation, Mechanical & Controls); Utility Partners of America (Backflow Testing/Repair, Plumbing); Bernhard MCC, LLC (Advanced Water Leak Detection, Backflow Testing/Repair, HVAC/Duct Repair, Infrared Thermography, Plumbing); and CRD Electrical Services, LLC DBA Ace Solves it All (Advanced Water Leak Detection, Backflow Testing/Repair, Electrical, HVAC/Duct Repair, Indoor Lighting, Insulation, Plumbing).

The PCN Program requires contractors to register on Vendorlink and submit comprehensive application documentation, including proof of professional experience, licensing, safety programs, and appropriate insurance coverage. Applicants must pay a $250 registration fee per discipline. The program does not guarantee work distribution, though OUC may occasionally request PCN contractors to perform services for residential and commercial customers across Orange County and Orlando City, Florida. Contractors are required to comply with applicable OUC customer incentive programs and maintain high professional standards. The program operates on an annual review process with contracts subject to renewal based on acceptable performance. OUC reserves the right to terminate agreements at any time, particularly if contractors receive persistent negative customer feedback. Applicants not accepted in the 2020 round were notified that they did not meet program requirements and were encouraged to pursue other opportunities with OUC.
