About this file

This document is an attachment outlining document submittal requirements for the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality (NDDEQ) Brownfields State Response Program. The attachment details three primary document types required: Remedial Action Workplan (Workplan), Final Completion Report, and Progress Report. The Workplan must include scope of work, proposed remedial activities and goals, waste management strategies, sampling and analysis plan, and timeline of activities. The Final Completion Report must document completed activities, including scope of work, summaries of proposed and actual remedial activities, sampling results, and waste management documentation. The Progress Report is required to document site conditions prior to final remedial activities.

All documents must be submitted electronically as PDFs, except for Progress Reports which can be submitted via email. The documents are considered state records subject to open record laws, and personal information must be identified for redaction before archiving at NDDEQ. Draft documents will not be maintained by NDDEQ. All submissions must include contract numbers, project titles, and identify points of contact for both NDDEQ and the contractor. The NDDEQ will review all documents for technical completeness, and stakeholders will review for appropriateness based on project needs.
