Size The motion system should be composed of the following 5 axis with the specified range:

1. Pitch: > + -180 deg

2. Yaw: > + - 5 deg

3. Roll : > + - 5 deg

4. Vertical: > +- 5mm

5. Horizontal: > +- 5 mm An example assembly is shown after this form.

The height of the rotation center of the 3 rotation motors has to be 88.5 mm higher than the bottom of the installation surface.

Vacuum The motion system has to be compatible with vacuum up to 1e-6 torr.

Connector size We need to be able to use a DN50KF Flange to mount the cables

Linux compatibility

We need to be able to start that stop the motors through remote controllers that can run on a Linux system.

Motion accuracy & stability The linear motors should have a motion resolution of 1um. The drift of the position of the motor itself should be less than 1um per 6 hours.

Communication stability Once the communication is established, the communication should be responsive and stable for more than 10 days without interruptions.

Controller size The controller of the motion system should be able to be installed on a 1U or 2U shelf.

The height requirement is restrictive (Rotation center has to be 88.5 mm higher than the bottom). The horizontal dimension is less restrictive. As shown below, it can be slightly larger than this one.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION SOURCE SELECTION PROCESS FORM

This form shall be used for all Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) purchases for simplified acquisitions (<$250,000).

The technical evaluation factors shall be objective rather than subjective in order to use the Simplified Acquisition Source Selection Plan and Evaluation Plan.

The business evaluation factors:

• Price evaluation shall be based on PD 9.5.1, Price Analysis

• Other business evaluation factors shall be based on PD 9.1, Responsible Offerors

Source Selection Team:

1. The source selection authority will be the Procurement Specialist based upon their associated signature authority. If the procurement is above the Procurement Specialist’s authority the Team Lead will be the source selection authority.

2. The Technical Evaluator will be person assigned to do the technical evaluation of the procurement package.

3. Business Evaluator will be the Procurement Specialist.

Technical Evaluation:

1. The Procurement Specialist or Technical Evaluator will enter the technical factors into the table provided.

2. The Technical Evaluator will determine the acceptability or unacceptability of each of the technical factors by placing an “X” in the appropriate space for each subcontractor.

Business Evaluator:

1. The Procurement Specialist will enter the business factors into the table provided.

2. The Procurement Specialist will determine the acceptability or unacceptability of each of the business factors by placing an “X” in the appropriate space for each subcontractor.

Both the technical and business evaluators can use expert advisers (EA); however the EA can only provide information to the technical and business evaluators then cannot be vote members of source selection team.

Signatures:

1. Each of the team members will sign on their respective signature block.

THIS FORM SHALL BE PLACED UNDER THE FOLLOWING TABS OF THE PROCUREMENT FILE: TAB A-7 at the beginning of the procurement and D-1 once completed after the source selection evaluation is completed.
