About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of a dual-channel +/- 30 kV nanosecond pulse generator for the Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) project at Brookhaven National Laboratory. The pulse generator will be used to drive a 50 ohm strip-line kicker for injecting a hadron beam into the Hadron Storage Ring, with stringent requirements for pulse rise/fall time, length, and stability.
Key technical and management requirements include: a comprehensive design review process with preliminary and final design review meetings, detailed documentation and testing protocols, and specific deliverables on a defined schedule. The contractor must provide a program plan within 2 weeks of contract award, conduct biweekly technical communications, submit monthly performance reports, and deliver the complete pulse generator system within 18 weeks of contract award. The total project emphasizes quality assurance, configuration management, and value engineering, with BSA (Brookhaven Science Associates) maintaining oversight throughout the development and manufacturing process.
