| Reference: | TUIN 231534 – Rehabilitate George Washington Carver Museum (Construction Project) |
This is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) for the purpose of conducting market research. Proposals are NOT being requested, nor accepted at this time. Responses are being requested from both large and small businesses.
Background: This design-bid-build construction project previously was offered to small businesses through a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued under the U.S. Department of Interior, and Forest Service Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) for construction, maintenance, repair and alteration of real property. The Government cancelled that RFP on September 6, 2022. The market research that is the subject of this Sources Sought Notice is for the purpose of issuing a new solicitation for this project. This the first public notice for the construction portion of this project. Related notices include: 140P2022R0124 published on June 9, 2022, for Portion of Work for Artifacts Handling (see Project Conditions below).
Purpose: The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge regarding the type of interested businesses and their qualifications for a design-bid-build construction project. The National Park Service (NPS) will use information obtained through this notice to develop an acquisition strategy.
The Government anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this requirement. The amount of interest or lack thereof will determine the possibility of a small business or other socio-economical small business set-aside for the solicitation. Analysis of the quality of responses to this source sought announcement will be considered in the market research being conducted, and in the making of any small business set-aside determination for this requirement.
Additional Information: No proposal package or solicitation has been issued and these are not available at this time. Specifications and drawings are available with this SSN.
Cost Reimbursement - None: Response to this SSN is voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this sources sought announcement or any follow-up information requests.
North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code: 236220
Small Business Size Standard: $39,500,000
Solicitation: The NPS anticipates issuing a request for proposals for the Construction Project in the Fall/Winter of 2022.
