The pulk/sled shall meet specific physical dimensions and performance standards: approximately 135 centimeters long and 62 centimeters wide, with a height range of 15-45 centimeters, and a total system weight (including poles and harness) of approximately 11 kilograms. The payload capacity must exceed 18 kilograms minimum and remain below 45 kilograms maximum, with a volume capacity between 300-550 liters. Construction shall be rigid fiber-reinforced resin laminate with a rounded front section to prevent diving in deep snow and replaceable runners. Color shall be white or cold weather camouflaged pattern. The tow system and harness must feature a quick-release system, be MOLLE compatible, and allow wearing with or without a USMC pack. All equipment must be commercial-grade winter expedition/touring quality, durable, resistant to abrasion and environmental conditions, and capable of supporting sustained cold weather employment in mountain environments.
