The Contractor shall be responsible for all necessary work to achieve required project outcomes, including labor, equipment, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), internal construction permits, incidental design, travel, and other related expenses.

1.3 Project Description and Scope

The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to replace the existing residential central A/C unit, including the outdoor condensing unit and indoor evaporator coil (matched system), ensuring full compliance with manufacturer specifications, local building codes, and safety regulations.

• Project Scope Includes:

o Site Preparation: Protecting flooring/surroundings, obtaining necessary permits, and verifying electrical capacity.

o Removal: Safe evacuation of existing refrigerant and a log or proper tracking of types and amounts of the refrigerant disposal, this would also include new refrigerant being used for the new system. disconnecting electrical/control lines, and removal/disposal of old condenser, coil, and pads.

o Installation: Installing new matched, high-efficiency (SEER 15+) condenser unit and evaporator coil. / New condensate pump/non-submersible.

o Infrastructure: Replacing refrigerant lines (line-set), installing a new, properly sized disconnect box/whip, and upgrading the condensate drain line with a trap.

o System Startup & Testing: Pressure testing with nitrogen, evacuation (vacuum pump), charging with new refrigerant, and testing system performance (temperature split).

o Finalization: Clean-up of site and providing owner education on system operation.

o

1.4 Detailed Task Breakdown
