About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a mold remediation project for the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge (SPBNWR) office located in Sonoma, CA. The project requires a hazardous materials/remediation company to remove mold from walls, ceilings, and floors, with black mold species currently detected in the airspace rendering the office unsafe for staff. The scope of work includes moving furniture, removing affected drywall, insulation, flooring, and ceiling, installing dehumidifiers, performing remediation techniques (sanding, HEPA vacuuming, wet wiping, sealing cavities), and conducting a final clearance test. Concurrently, four damaged windows and frames that are leaking water into the walls must be replaced.
The project is to be completed between the date of award and December 15, 2025, with work conducted during normal duty hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). The contractor must have extensive experience in mold remediation and will be evaluated based on industry standards and final approval by the Contracting Officer Representative. The technical coordinator is Meg Marriott, Wildlife Biologist, and the Contracting Officer is Cindy Salazar from the Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service. The vendor is required to provide an itemized list of parts, repair hours, and warranty information upon project completion.
