Statement of Work Campbell Tract Facility

Tritium Exit Sign Disposal July 19, 2025

A. Introduction:

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Campbell Tract (CT) is a designated Special Recreation Management Area (SRMA), providing year-round outdoor recreation opportunities in a natural setting for nearly 500,000 urban visitors annually. The area is set aside as an administrative site, which the BLM maintains for Federal interagency office facilities, maintenance shop, warehouse, aviation resources (multi-pad heliport and 5,000-foot gravel airstrip), communication sites, and the Campbell Creek Science Center (CCSC).

B. Contract Tasks:

B1. General Requirements

1. All work shall be coordinated with the BLM Anchorage Field Office (AFO) Project Inspector (PI).

2. All transportation of disposal personnel and materials is the contractor’s responsibility.

B2. Tritium Exit Sign Disposal

1. The contractor shall pick up (12) fully intact tritium exit signs from BLM Campbell Tract Facility.

2. The contractor using all applicable federal, state, and local regulations shall properly dispose of

(12) fully intact tritium exit signs.

3. The contractor shall draft a letter style report to include the final tritium exit sign disposal documents

C. Submittals:

C1. Summary letter report:

The contractor shall submit a letter style report to include the final tritium exit sign disposal documents. The letter report will describe the work performed and how the tritium exit signs were disposed of.

The letter report shall be submitted to the BLM as a MS Word 2010 (Word) document. Figures may be submitted as PDF files. The BLM shall provide comments if needed using track changes in the Word document. The contractor shall revise the document per BLM comments and submit a revised report as a complete PDF (figures included). The letter report shall be formatted such that it is in compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act1.

508 Compliance: The .pdf final report shall be in Rehabilitation Act Section 508 compliant format subject to being made available to the public via being posted on the internet. Section 508 requires that Federal agencies' electronic and information technology is accessible to people with disabilities to assure accessibility by the visually impaired using assistive technology such as screen readers and refreshable Braille displays.
