SOW Bryce Canyon National Park Refuse Removal, Transportation, and Disposal.
BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK
STATEMENT OF WORK FOR PROVIDING REFUSE PICKUP AND
TRANSPORTATION
1. DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
a. General - Furnish all labor, equipment, loading, hauling, unloading, and equipment to provide refuse removal at Bryce Canyon National Park. Includes emptying NPS owned dumpsters and transporting contents to the closest certified landfill.
b. Optional Requirement - Provide refuse removal on an Emergency basis if needed.
c. Period of Performance – September 1, 2021 – August 31, 2022. Contract will be base period of September 1, 2021 to August 31st, 2022 with four option years as follows:
OY1 – September 1st, 2022 to August 31st, 2023 OY2 – September 1st, 2023 to August 31st, 2024 OY3 – September 1st, 2024 to August 31st, 2025 OY4 – September 1st, 2025 to August 31st, 2026
d. Quantity – Deliveries shall be twice weekly during “Peak Season” which typically runs from March 1st thru November 30th. Bi-weekly during “Off Season” which runs from December 1st thru the last day of February, typically February 28th. Some locations will be closed during the “Off Season”, more specifically, the Picnic Area and Sunset Campground. The remaining locations will have refuse picked up all year long.
e. Optional Requirement Quantity – The “Off Season” locations are not closed on a hard and fast date. Due to increases in visitation, much of our “Off Season” areas end up being closed due to winter weather rather than a decrease in visitation. The seasonal date could be pior to, or after the dates listed under D. The “Peak Season” and “Off Season” dates is the average or typical season.
f. Pricing – Price will be based on schedule, locations, number of dumpsters, equipment costs, transportation costs, and disposal fees.
g. Schedule – As listed under D above specifically identified as “Peak Season” and “Off Season.”
h. Timing – Delivery shall be morning (typically between 6am - 11am) before noon
i. Quality – Removing refuse and placing dumpsters after emptied in such a way as the dumpsters do not interfere with park operations or vehicular traffic.
j. Location(s) – Main park address followed by dumpster locations:
Bryce Canyon National Park 3000 S. Highway 63 Bryce Canyon, Utah 84764
Locations and the quantity of dumpsters are – Visitor Center (2 – 6 Yard Dumpsters), North Campground Area (3 – 6 Yard Dumpsters), Picnic Area near North Campground (1 – 3 Yard Dumpster), Maintenance Yard

(6 – 6 Yard Dumpsters), Sunset Point (3 – 6 Yard Dumpsters), Sunset Campground (3 – 6 Yard Dumpsters) for a total of 18 Dumpsters.
2. Quality Assurance: Provider Qualifications: The provider shall be a company regularly engaged in providing similar services, and shall have performed this type of work before.
3. INVOICES
a. Name, address, telephone number of the provider.
b. Invoice Number
c. Dates of service
d. Specifiy season
e. Billed monthly
f. If possible, total weight of refuse for monthly Dates of Service
4. Equipment: The Contractor shall provide any equipment, protective clothing, materials and supplies necessary to meet the requirements of the contract.
5. Site Inspection: While performing the work, the Contractor shall be subject to on-site inspection by agency officials.
6. Housekeeping: Work area shall be cleaned up at the end of delivery.
7. Payment:
Invoices shall be submitted through Federal Government Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) System located at www.ipp.gov. See IPP Payment Clause. A copy of invoice shall be provided via email to designated Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Payments will be posted via electronic funds transfer.
