Statement of Work (SOW) Institute for Security Governance (ISG)
8 – 21 September 2024
MASL P179842 IDARM CAMRI
Defense Acquisition Life Cycle Management
July 5, 2024
Background:
This event is the ISG resident course P179842 Defense Acquisition Life Cycle Management. ISG is a component of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), and one of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) primary schoolhouses for educating international military and government personnel (IMS) from partner nations (PN).
Scope:
ISG’s P179842 Defense Acquisition Life Cycle Management course examines the components and characteristics of effective defense logistics and life cycle management.
Emphasis is placed on the critical role logistics planning and life cycle considerations play in the defense acquisition decision making procedures and processes. ISG courses are designed to cultivate individual understanding of complex issues, foster peer to-peer learning, and build international communities of interest. ISG work is foundational in the DSCA’s Security Cooperation mission.
The personnel participating as students in the course are all foreign military and government representatives. Some of the students will be visiting the United States for the first time and are not funded beyond the per diem living allowances provided them by their sponsoring organizations, meant to cover lodging, meals, and incidental expenses.
Given intercultural sensitivities, limited budgets, and the extended period of their stay, it is essential that the lodging provide them the comfort and convenience of all the features and amenities detailed in the Lodging Requirements section. Most guests will not have cars, so the location must be within walkable distance to facilities such as grocery stores and restaurants.
