Additional Questions

1. When would the flypack/system need to begin set up at NTSB in Washington D.C?

Please see the response to Question no. 27 provided via Amendment 0003 – the anticipated period of performance for the first task order is six (6) months. This is to account for equipment lead time, installation, training, and inspection/acceptance by the NTSB.

2. Regarding the response to question 48 under Amendment 0003, will the NTSB be seeking to replace the existing fixed Barco projectors and projection screens at the Conference Center? If so, will this be in addition to the mobile video projection system spec and quoted with the Task Order 1 Design?

The contractor has the option to integrate Barco projectors for the 4:3 screens in the NTSBCC into their mobile system design submission. Alternatively, the contractor can choose a video projection method that uses the 4:3 screens in the NTSBCC and can be part of the mobile system. These 4:3 screens in the conference center are fixed and cannot be replaced or removed.

The NTSB seeks the most cost-effective solution to meet the needs of viewing events in the NTSBCC and at off-site locations. The contractor is free to suggest items and solutions that meet this need.

However, please clarify the use case for all items and be prepared to fulfill all offsite system requirements when necessary.

The proposed system design should include all the elements listed in Task One, but the method of coverage is up to the contractor.

Note: The NTSB will not rent any equipment for mobile system operation in the NTSBCC, but will consider rentals for field use.
