About this file

This is a Sole Source Notice issued by Granite School District in Utah for the procurement of Screencastify Software through the Utah Public Procurement Place. The notice, dated 10 November 2020, seeks to acquire a 12-month subscription with options to renew for up to four additional years through December 2025, specifically for the Curriculum & Instruction Department and Educational Technology division. The software must interface with Windows 10, iPads, iOS, and Chromebooks, providing an unlimited screencasting solution with record and edit capabilities for all district staff, students, and teachers.

The anticipated expenditure is approximately $54,000 for the initial 12-month subscription, with a potential total of $300,000 over five years, accounting for a potential 3-5% annual increase. The justification for a sole source procurement is based on the unique specifications required, including direct Google Drive integration, Chrome extension compatibility, video editing and sharing capabilities, and LMS integration with Canvas. The product is copyrighted and not approved for sale through resellers, necessitating direct purchase from the creator, Screencastify LLC. The district emphasizes the need for a solution that works seamlessly with their 1:1 Chromebook environment and provides comprehensive digital learning tools.
