About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file issued by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Procurement Office for Invitation to Bid (ITB) No. DOT-ITB-25-9084-JM, titled "Pavement Markings: Raised, Reflectorized, and Related Materials". The bid is scheduled to open on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST. The Q&A document addresses six specific questions from potential bidders regarding various line items, including clarifications on primer types, measurement units for certain items (changing from inches to feet), and specific symbols for bicycle lane markings.

The document provides technical corrections and references to standard plans for specific line items, such as Standard Plans FY 2025-26 Index 711-00 for pavement marking drawings and Index 711-002 for bicycle drawings. While no specific pricing or total contract value is detailed in this Q&A document, it is part of a procurement process for pavement marking materials. The Q&A format suggests FDOT is seeking to provide clarity and standardize bidder understanding before the bid submission deadline, which is typical of complex technical procurement processes involving specialized transportation infrastructure materials.
