About this file

This is a vendor onboarding notice issued by Marion County, Florida, regarding the mandatory use of PaymentWorks, a secure vendor portal system for vendor registration and payment management. The notice applies to all vendors conducting business with Marion County and serves as notification that vendors may receive invitation emails from PaymentWorks on behalf of the county. The document emphasizes that PaymentWorks registration is strongly encouraged to facilitate timely payments, though existing vendors who have previously conducted business with Marion County are not required to register immediately. However, any updates to company information—including address, email, and banking details—must be completed through the PaymentWorks system to prevent payment delays.

PaymentWorks provides vendors with secure options for managing business and banking information while reducing administrative errors and duplicate records. During the registration process, vendors can elect to receive payments through ACH direct deposit, which is identified as the faster and more secure option, or continue using traditional check payments if preferred. Support is available through the PaymentWorks help portal and Marion County Procurement at Procurement@MarionFL.org. The notice clarifies that PaymentWorks is Marion County's official vendor onboarding system and registration delays or information updates may result in payment processing delays.
