About this file

This is an insurance requirements document for the Broward County Aviation Department at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) related to the Terminal 3 Air Handler Unit (AHU) Replacement Project 105339. The project involves the replacement of 22 rooftop HVAC air handler units on Terminal 3 at FLL. The vendor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, services, and incidentals necessary for this replacement work. The solicitation requires vendors to comply with county and state licensing requirements, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requirements, and bonding requirements. Vendors must submit solicitation responses electronically through BPRO and receive a submission receipt by the specified closing date and time; the county will not consider responses received by other means.

The insurance requirements mandate that Broward County Aviation Department be listed as the certificate holder and endorsed as an additional insured for liability coverage (except professional liability). Vendors must carry general liability with minimum limits of $20 million per occurrence and $20 million aggregate, auto liability at $5 million for airside operations and $1 million for landside, workers' compensation at statutory limits with employer's liability at $1 million per accident, and professional liability (errors and omissions) at $10 million with a five-year extended reporting period for all engineering and design professionals. Pollution and environmental liability coverage of $5 million is required if testing, investigating, digging, drilling, or hazardous materials handling occurs on airport property. Installation floater coverage with all-risk completed value protection is required if builder's risk or property insurance is not carried. The vendor's insurance must provide primary coverage with no contribution required from the county, and the vendor is responsible for all coverage deductibles unless otherwise specified. The county requires 30 days' written notice of cancellation and 10 days' notice for non-payment cancellation.
