About this file

This document is a contracted housekeeping standards specification for Navarro College's custodial services contract at the Mexia location. The standards establish comprehensive cleaning requirements across multiple facility types including classrooms, offices, lobbies, lounges, washrooms, cafeterias, and break rooms. Cleaning frequencies range from daily to annually, with specific tasks detailed for each area. Classroom services include trash removal, floor care, dusting, and glass cleaning on a weekly to five-times-per-week basis, while washrooms require daily sanitization of all fixtures, mirrors, and floors with weekly refilling of dispensers. Additional recurring services performed every six weeks include floor stripping and refinishing, window washing during summer months, carpet steam cleaning, furniture cleaning, and mat cleaning. The contractor is also responsible for general building oversight including notification of maintenance issues, securing facilities, providing customer service management visits, and submitting formal written inspections to Navarro College.

The document establishes operational standards rather than pricing terms or contract award details. The contractor must maintain specific service levels for floor maintenance including spot damp mopping, spray buffing of open areas, scrubbing to remove marks, and periodic strip-and-refinish work. All cleaning products and supplies are furnished by the college. The standards emphasize sanitization protocols throughout washroom facilities and common areas, with disinfectants and deodorizers mandated for hard floor surfaces. No information regarding contract duration, pricing, set-asides, incumbent contractors, funding sources, or award dates is included in this standards document.
