Solicitation 89503122QWA000214 Amendment 0001 WAPA DSW: Power Cables for Liberty Substation Clarifying Information:
1. What is the single conductor material?
Answer: The material is copper for all requested different sized conductors.
2. Single conductor materials are not typically shielded per industry standard. Is this perhaps a medium voltage cable or armored?
Answer: All the cables installed at Liberty Sub must be shielded because of the Series Capacitor Banks.
On the updated specification spreadsheet, the number “1” was added in front of the rest of the characters for items 11-14. For example, 1-3/C-6 AWG means “one cable with three conductors size six American Wire Gage (AWG).”
The multiconductor cable should have an additional wire for grounding.
3. What color code is desired for the multi-conductor cables?
Answer: If possible, black, white, green and red for the ground. If not possible, all black will suffice.
