PHS M/W Building Battery Replacement SOW
• Provide temporary power to support site loads during the transition from the old system to the new system. The telecom loads will remain online throughout the duration of this transition.
• Remove existing chargers, racks and wiring. WAPA will retain possession of existing chargers and racks.
• Remove existing battery plant and palletize. Send batteries to an EPA approved recycling center for disposal. A certificate of disposal will be supplied to WAPA when the batteries are disposed of.
• Supply and install two (2) flooded strings of “12 OPzS-1500” BAE batteries (48 total batteries), racks, two (2) 200 amp rack mount disconnects, spill containment with pillows and terminal covers. This will provide two (2) 48VDC battery banks (A&B).
• Supply, mount and install two (2) new telecom racks. Mount and wire WAPA provided Eltek chargers, DC distribution and disconnects in these racks.
• Replace two (2) 15 amp AC breakers with 20 amp 2 pole breakers in AC distribution panel DHA.
• Install and label six (6) AC feeds to chargers.
• Install and label DC feeds to each disconnect.
• Install new 4” x 4” wireway overhead of new charger racks to match up to existing 4” x 4” wireway
• Install and label new A&B DC load feeds to THA and THB telecom racks. Cap the ends of each wire. WAPA will be responsible for termination at each rack.
• Provide installed battery test values (Voltage, Specific Gravity, Impedance)
