About this file
This document is a set of Questions and Answers related to a pre-solicitation for a National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) enterprise ticketing, admission, and event management system for Archives I and the Presidential Libraries.
The key details are:
- NARA is open to licensing multiple databases and eCommerce sites to meet the needs of presidential libraries outside the eastern time zone, with a requirement for real-time data access.
- The ticketing system must be compliant with HSPD-12 and integrate with NARA's centralized SAML/LDAP authentication platform.
- Hosting on Amazon Web Services (AWS) is acceptable, and NARA is open to negotiating contracts based on the vendor's standard license and service agreements.
- NARA will not provide operating budget estimates but encourages vendors to include rough order of cost estimates. Approximately 150 internal NARA users across 24 access control devices are anticipated.
- NARA does not require select-your-own-seat functionality or a mobile application, but does need dedicated reservation microsites for special events and the ability to reserve Rotunda time and tours.
- Key performance indicators tracked include daily sales, attendance, and system uptime, with no additional software integrations needed beyond those specified in the draft Performance Work Statement.

NARA is now using EntraID as its preferred directory service and the new ticketing system should be able to integrate with it. EntraID supports both SAML and LDAP authentication which are standard technologies by which to integrate.
