PERFOMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS)

FOR

SPIRIT 4K SCANNER AND BONES WORKSTATION

MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT SERVICES

1.0 BACKGROUND

1.1 The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is an independent Federal Agency that serves American democracy by safeguarding and preserving records of our nation’s history by overseeing the management of all Federal records. The mission is to ensure that people can discover, use, and access the essential evidence that documents the rights of American citizens regardless of the location of the documentation or of the people using it.

1.2 NARA seeks to acquire maintenance and support services for the Spirit 4K Scanner and Bone Workstation currently installed in the Motion Picture Preservation Lab located at Archives II in College Park, MD.

2.0 SCOPE

2.1 The objective is to prolong the useful life of the equipment purchased for use in the Motion Picture Preservation Lab.

2.2 The maintenance and support services must include all terms necessary for the achievement of the stated requirements in a manner that enables the NARA staff person all functions by a single operator. The new maintenance and support services shall comply with all industry and Government equipment standards for health and safety.

2.3 The Contractor shall provide all tools, transportation, supplies, labor, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to provide maintenance and support services for the Spirit 4K Scanner and Bones Workstation.

3.0 DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

3.1 Operating Environment – Staff work 5 days a week, 8 hour shift per day of the Spirit 4K

3.2 The Pro Care Maintenance Agreement shall include:

24 hour / 7 days phone support
Priority Technical Phone Support;
Assurance that spare parts are in stock (when a problem occurs with a part NARA will alert the contractor and request the part to be in stock);
Allows for advanced exchange of spare parts;
Stable support costs;
No charge for shipping;
Waives pre-payment;
Software support and upgrades;
Biennial Site Visits for Maintenance
