Request for info from the Heat Exchanger Demo meeting;

1. The pictures do not show the heat exchanger that is to be removed and disposed of: Pictures attached – IMG_12863, IMG_4474, IMG_7757

• What are the dimensions of the heat exchanger? See attached Drawing (20595701_P81.pdf)

• What is the weight of the heat exchanger? EST. weight (LBS): 5204 DRY/ 5763 WET.

• Heat exchanger Nameplate information. Pictures attached – IMG_7764, IMG_7767

• What kind of material/products are the agents that go in/out of the heat exchanger?

Chilled water.

• What type of material is the piping that connects to the heat exchanger? Schedule 40 black carbon steel, conforming to ASTM A 53/A 53M.

2. What type of material is the new piping to be installed?(Standard or schedule 80?) Schedule 40 black carbon steel, conforming to ASTM A 53/A 53M.

3. What are the specifications for the valves to be installed?

• (Gear operated) butterfly valves shall be rated at a minimum of 150 PSIG WOG and shall provide bubble tight shutoff, lug style cast ironbody, aluminum bronze disk, 416 stainless steel stem, EPDM sleves, seats, and O-rings. Milwalkee “M” series or equal.

4. What are the specifications, including the lengths, of the hoses to be installed?

• Premium quality, suitable for chilled water application, Exterior jacket polyurethane.

Hose rated for -36°F to 150°F working temperature range. Minimum safe working pressure is 150 psig.

• Approximate length – 20’

5. What type of material (stainless steel?) is to be used for the drain pan? Approximately 28” – 30”

Plastic or galvanized steel with condensate overflow valve.

6. What are the specifications of the sump pump to be installed? Little Giant, VCL-45ULS Series, Item # 553240. Spec sheet included (995128-vcl-45-series-spec-sheet.pdf)

7. What are the specifications for the piping and insulation from the sump pump to the condensate header? Condensate Pump 3/8” OD copper tubing discharge to 3/4” copper header, smoke free Armaflex insulation or equivalent.

8. Do you have a P&ID drawing? Not available

9. We need a list of equipment that will or will not be scrapped.

• ( Items to keep) Pump, Bray actuators and valves will be included in the demo but will be placed on a customer provided trailer to retain at Stennis.

• (items to dispose) Heat exchanger, associated piping, and insulation will be considered construction debris to be disposed of by the contractor.

10. What size and schedule is the existing supply and return lines that we are welding the hot taps on for the hose connections and can we use a weldolet for that?

• The existing supply and return piping where the hot taps will be located is standard schedule 40, 8” black iron.

• Yes, a weld-o-let is acceptable.

11. Maximum outage time for the reconfiguration of chilled water supply and return is 6 hours.

12. Contractor shall be responsible for providing portable outdoor facilities.
