About this file

This file is a bid form for hourly rate pricing submitted to the School Board of Sarasota County, Florida for Metal Fabrication services under BID #26-0107, with the awarded vendor also required to enter into a separate agreement with Sarasota County Government. The contract covers comprehensive metal fabrication work including supervision, labor, tools, equipment, travel, fuel, and materials delivered and installed according to local and state regulations. The bid form establishes pricing structures for both shop and field work during standard hours (7:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday) and non-standard hours (before 7:00 a.m., after 5:00 p.m. weekdays, and weekends).

The pricing structure allows for a maximum 10% markup on materials, special rental equipment, and subcontracted services, with all requiring itemized invoices for verification and prior written approval from the Facilities Services Department for rental equipment and subcontracted services. Contractors must provide hourly, daily, and weekly rates for contractor-owned equipment used occasionally beyond regular metal fabrication services. Notably, during declared disaster situations, no markups are permitted on materials, rental equipment, or subcontracted services, with only actual costs allowed. Sales tax markups are prohibited across all categories, and payment is only authorized for active equipment use, not inactive time.
