About this file

This document is a Measurement and Payment specification for a wastewater treatment system installation, detailing payment terms for various components of an on-site sewage system (OSS). The document outlines specific payment details for multiple system elements including solid sewer pipe installation, underground cleanouts, a 1,000-gallon aerobic treatment tank, a 1,000-gallon pump tank with effluent pump, PVC supply and return lines, and an OSCAR-XO2 sand mound distribution system. Payment calculations are based on linear feet, number of units installed, and include comprehensive coverage for excavation, backfilling, compaction, connections, testing, resurfacing, and all necessary components for a complete and operational wastewater treatment system. The specification is associated with a Department of Health and Human Services Indian Health Service solicitation for the Garrett Hull (Makah) OSS project, with solicitation number 75H70125Q00018.

SOLID SEWER PIPE

Payment for solid sewer pipe as specified on the Design shall be made for the size of pipe listed based on the number of linear feet installed. Payment shall include excavation, backfill and compaction; all pipe and fittings; connection of the solid sewer pipe to an existing sewer service line or home; testing; resurfacing trenched areas to equal or better condition than existing; and all other necessary items for a complete and operational installation.

UNDERGROUND CLEANOUT, DOUBLESWEEP

Payment for the underground cleanout as specified on the Design shall be made for the number of underground cleanouts installed. Payment shall include excavation, backfilling and compaction, all pipe and fittings, and all other necessary items for a complete and operational installation. No payment shall be made for cleanouts installed above grade as part of the connection to existing house, or as part of drop manholes.

1,000 GAL AEROBIC TREATMENT TANK

Payment for the aerobic treatment tank unit, as specified in the Design, shall be made at the contract unit price for the size and model listed based on the number of tanks installed. Payment shall include excavation, backfill, compaction, sand or gravel where non-uniform native soil or groundwater is present, resurfacing excavated areas to equal or better condition than existing and grading to direct surface runoff away from tank, connection to solid sewer pipe, multi-compartment concrete or polyurethene aerobic treatment tank, risers, lids, waterproofing, baffle, compressor unit and controls, diffuser, plumbing, valves, fittings, connection to the existing home electric panel, testing, Department of Labor & Industries (L&I) inspection, and all other necessary items for a complete and operational installation.

1,000 GAL PUMP TANK WITH EFFLUENT PUMP, CONTROLS, AND FLOATS

Payment for the pump tank, as specified in the Design, shall be made at the contract unit price for the size listed based on the number of pump tanks installed. The OSCAR system manufacturer shall specify pump model. Payment shall include excavation, backfill, compaction, sand or gravel where non-uniform native soil or groundwater is present, resurfacing excavated areas to equal or better condition than existing and grading to direct surface runoff away from tank, connection to aerobic treatment tank, pump tank, risers, lids, waterproofing, plumbing, check valve, fittings, pump, floats, reverse flush system head works, 120-mesh effluent disc filter, flow meter, controls conduit, fused disconnect (when required), watertight junction box, subpanel, alarm, control panel, connection to the existing home electric panel, testing, L&I inspection, configuring the control panel and pump/dosing settings at system start-up, and all other necessary items for a complete and operational installation.

1-IN SCHEDULE 40 PVC SUPPLY AND RETURN LINES
