About this file
This document is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) from the City of Fort Worth Purchasing Division for Water Meter and Pump Gaskets, referenced as ITB 25-0204. The solicitation seeks to establish non-exclusive contracts for new prefabricated gaskets used in water meter installations and replacements for connections ranging from ¾ to 2 inches, as well as gaskets for repairing pumps and equipment. The specification outlines detailed requirements for various gasket materials including Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE), High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), cork, vegetable paper, rubber, nylon re-enforced rubber, and specialized materials like Red Rubber, Expanded Teflon, and Viton for specific applications in water infrastructure and chemical piping.
Delivery requirements specify that all materials must be delivered to the Fort Worth Water Department's Field Operations between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding a list of city-observed holidays. The vendor will be responsible for providing precut gaskets to exact size specifications and purchasing various gasket material rolls and strips in specified lengths, such as 200 ft. Ultra-High-Molecular-Weight Polyethylene (UHMW) strips. The document emphasizes material specificity, noting that certain alternatives like Fluoroelastomer (FKM) are not acceptable, and that gasket diagrams will be provided in a separate Exhibit 1, indicating a comprehensive and technical procurement process focused on precise engineering and infrastructure maintenance requirements.
