About this file

This is a minimum insurance requirements document for Broward County's Communications & Technology Division regarding the purchase and delivery of 911 headsets and accessories. The project involves an open-end contract for the procurement of Plantronics and JPL headsets and accessories for the Office of Regional Communications and Technology (ORCAT), other Broward County 911 Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs), and other Broward County agencies as needed. Vendors must be authorized resellers for both Plantronics and JPL products and submit responses electronically through BPRO by the specified closing date and time. The solicitation requires comprehensive vendor submissions, with all available documentation encouraged to facilitate timely County review, though specific response deadlines, award dates, and contract term details are not provided in this insurance requirements document.

The insurance requirements mandate that vendors obtain General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $500,000 per occurrence and aggregate, Automobile Liability coverage of $500,000 combined bodily injury and property damage (waivable if no driving is involved), Workers' Compensation at statutory limits, Employers Liability of $100,000 per accident, and Pollution/Environmental Liability coverage with a maximum deductible of $10,000. Broward County must be named as an additional insured with primary coverage and waiver of subrogation, and vendors must provide 30 days' written notice of cancellation or 10 days' notice for non-payment. For Claims-Made policies, insurance evidence must be maintained for at least three years after contract completion. No proof of insurance is required if delivery is by common carrier. The document is digitally signed and dated May 8, 2026, by Colleen Pounall from the Risk Management Division.
