About this file

This is a Bidders Qualifications form for Mesa Community College's Building 50 Roof Replacement project in Arizona. The document serves as an enclosure with the proposal and establishes the criteria by which the Owner and Architect will evaluate bidder qualifications. The project involves removing and replacing multiple roof sections with a new multi-ply SBS roofing system, including insulation, flashing upgrades, drainage improvements, coating application, and associated roofing and mechanical adjustments. Work excluded from this bid includes geotechnical reports, materials testing, hazardous materials testing and abatement, and separate contracts for structured cabling, equipment, racks, voice-data systems, audio-visual systems, and building security systems. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the bidder's record indicates improper contract performance, unacceptable references, habitual neglect of bill payments, or disregard of obligations to subcontractors, material suppliers, or employees.

Bidders must submit the completed qualifications form with their proposals, providing comprehensive information including business address, years in contracting under the present firm name, current contract values, any prior defaults, and small business certification status if applicable. The form requires two current local trade references, one current local financial or banking reference, and five current local owner references with contact information and phone numbers. All owner references should represent projects of similar scope and value to the proposed project, and must include contact names, firm names, project names, contract values, actual or projected completion dates, addresses, phone numbers, and associated architect or engineer information. The completed statements must be subscribed and sworn to before a Notary Public.

BIDDERS QUALIFICATIONS 00420-1

SECTION 00420

STATEMENT OF BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS

(Enclosure with Proposal)

The Owner and the Architect will consider, in determining the qualifications of a Bidder, his record in the performance of any contracts for construction work into which he may have entered with the Owner or with similar public or private bodies or corporations. The Owner expressly reserves the right to reject the bid of any Bidder if such record discloses that such Bidder, in the opinion of the Owner, has not properly performed such contracts, has received unacceptable references (whether from listed references or other owners or designers on recent work), or has habitually and without just cause neglected the payment of bills, or has otherwise disregarded his obligations to Subcontractors, material men, suppliers or employees.

The Owner may make such investigation as they deem necessary to determine the ability of the Bidder to perform the work, and the Bidder shall furnish to the Owner all such information and data for this purpose as they may request. The Owner reserves the right to reject any bid if the evidence submitted by, or investigation of such Bidder, fails to satisfy the Owner that such Bidder is a responsive and responsible Bidder in accordance with the criteria set forth herein at the Owner’s sole discretion.
