About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document clarifying requirements for a genomic sequencing contract opportunity.
The document addresses two key inquiries from potential offerors. First, regarding platform flexibility, the Government confirmed it will not accept alternative sequencing platforms or analysis pipelines as substitutes for the NovaSeq X-Plus platform with 25B-300 flow cells and DRAGEN Germline pipeline specified in the Statement of Work, even if an offeror can demonstrate equivalent performance meeting the minimum technical requirements of 30x coverage, 2x150 base pair paired-end reads, and all listed deliverables including joint-called multi-sample VCF files. Second, concerning sample quantities, the Government clarified that the baseline of 600 samples is a flexible quantity that may increase or decrease post-award. Accordingly, offerors must submit pricing either for the 600-sample baseline or on a per-sample basis to allow for accurate cost calculations and adjustments for additional quantities.

Responses to questions
1. The Statement of Work calls for sequencing on the NovaSeq X-Plus platform with 25B-300 flow cells and the DRAGEN Germline pipeline. Will the Government accept a diKerent sequencing platform and analysis pipeline if the oKeror can demonstrate it meets the stated requirements of a minimum of 30x coverage, 2x150 base pair paired end reads, and the full set of listed deliverables, including the joint-called multi-sample VCF?
Response: No, we need to have the sequencing platform listed in the SOW
2. Is the count of 600 samples a firm quantity, or is it an estimate that may increase or decrease after award? If it may change, please confirm whether pricing should be submitted on a per sample basis.
Response: This is a baseline number that can fluctuate, all pricing should be set for that number or a price per, which can be used to calculate accurate costs or add additional quantitites.
