About this file

This is a Deliveries & Removals Policy document establishing Digital Realty's operational procedures for customer shipments to and from its data center facilities.

Delivery Requirements and Temporary Storage: Customer-initiated deliveries require advance announcement via Delivery Ticket submitted through the customer portal at least one business day prior to delivery. Submissions must include the specific account, designated Digital Realty site, estimated delivery date, and courier information. Temporary storage is limited to five business days, after which customers are blocked from further delivery submissions until items are retrieved. Extended storage beyond five business days is available only at select EMEA region facilities and subject to local standard storage fees; paid storage is unavailable at Americas and APAC locations. Oversized and overweight deliveries require advance storage requests and compliance with site-specific weight and size limitations. If insufficient capacity exists, Digital Realty assumes no responsibility for items left in common areas.

Removals, Labeling, and Liability: Removal requests must be submitted for all items stored or staged in Digital Realty controlled space, with scheduled pickups pre-arranged with the local site. Palletized goods must be customer-prepared with lashing, strapping, and wrapping prior to carrier pickup. All packages require proper labeling including account name, contact name, full data center address, Delivery Ticket number, and tracking information, with no reference to Digital Realty personnel. A comprehensive Legal Disclaimer absolves Digital Realty of responsibility for loss, damage, theft, or destruction regardless of cause, requiring customers to assume all delivery and storage risks and maintain adequate insurance. Customers are solely responsible for inspecting, retrieving, and verifying item condition within five business days, after which storage fees may apply. Import/export taxes, customs documentation, and packaging disposal are customer responsibilities.
