About this file

This is Amendment 0001 to Solicitation 75H71525R00006 issued by the Nashville Area Office, extending the bid due date from August 8, 2025 to August 13, 2025. The amendment also changes the required number of copies from 0 to 1 and includes responses to contractor questions about a pharmacy security system installation project.

The questions and answers reveal this is a project to install professional PIR/motion detectors, door security systems (strikes, card readers, door contacts), and video surveillance equipment in a pharmacy facility. Contractors asked about electrical conduit layouts, coverage requirements, existing infrastructure, and camera specifications. The government consistently referred bidders to building as-built drawings and video surveillance submittals for technical details. Key clarifications include that motion detector coverage must include all access areas and hallways in the pharmacy, existing conduit is stubbed out into drop ceilings for cable runs on J hooks, and contract options will be evaluated per FAR 52.217-5. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the new bid due date to avoid rejection of their proposals.

Except as provided herein, all terms and conditions of the document referenced in Item 9 A or 10A, as heretofore changed, remains unchanged and in full force and effect .

1. Question: Do you have a drawing set that includes the electrical conduit layout?

a. Answer: See building as-builts

2. Question: Section 4.1.1 – Professional PIR/Motion Detectors providing sufficient space coverage:

a. Could you please clarify whether “sufficient coverage” refers only to windows and hallways, or to full facility coverage throughout all interior areas?

i. Answer: This would be all access areas and hallways in the pharmacy.

3. Question: On the prints there shows conduit already in place running to all doors (Door strike, Rex, Door contact, and Card reader). These walls are all finished and thus covering up any work done inside the wall. I see on each door a blank plate where the card reader would go but cannot verify if and exactly where the other conduit may be on these doors. I didn't see any marking for where they may be stubbed out inside the wall.

a. Answer: See attached building as-builts. Conduit was terminated to locations indicated on drawings at all doors in preparation for PIV/card system installation.

4. Question: Does the conduit for all doors run directly to an IT closet or is it all just stubbed out directly above the door in the ceiling?

a. Answer: See building as-builts. Generally, conduit is stubbed out into the drop ceiling for cabling to be run on J hooks.

5. Question: On site there are a bunch of motion detectors on the ceiling, are these tied to a lighting system?

a. Answer: See building as-builts.

6. Question: What VMS (video monitoring system) are you currently using on site? I know you have

Avigilon cameras, using the same VMS?

a. Answer: See building video surveillance submittals.

7. Question: There are a few areas with a hard ceiling (sheetrock, no drop tile) do these areas have conduit/path to feed wires past them?

a. Answer: See building as-builts

8. Question: Could you please provide the full specifications for the cameras referenced in this requirement?

a. Answer: See building video surveillance submittals.

9. Question: How are the options in the solicitation going to be evaluated?

a. Answer: FAR 52.217-5 was included in the solicitation
