About this file
This is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) document addressing contractor inquiries regarding a federal furniture procurement for clinic office spaces.
The procurement requires delivery and installation of furniture for three rooms (156, 157, and 158) with specific Performance Laminate Series specifications. The government's preferred wood finish color is Newport Gray, and mesh/fabric on management and executive office chairs must be gray. The project includes electric sit-to-stand desks with custom drilling or cord tracks to accommodate power and data jack locations as needed. Alternative "or equal" furniture brands require formal laboratory certifications proving compliance with antimicrobial and micro-bacterial standards. The government will provide interior layout sketches and space-planning designs showing furniture positioning, with room dimensions in Attachment B accounting for door swings, baseboards, heaters, and window protrusions. An on-site loading dock, freight elevator, and staging area are available for unboxing and furniture staging. Contractors must remove all packing waste (plastics, cardboard, wood pallets) and cannot use facility disposal systems. A site visit to verify dimensions is mandatory prior to bid submission per FAR Provision 52.237-1. The clinic will vacate all three rooms simultaneously to allow for complete installation at once rather than phased delivery.
