About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for solicitation number 75H71025Q000063, containing 15 questions and responses about a medical provider contract opportunity.

The contract seeks medical providers for either outpatient-only services or a combination of inpatient and outpatient services, with the determination based on contractor qualifications and recent inpatient experience. There is no incumbent contractor, and family medicine doctors are not acceptable. Outpatient-only providers work Monday through Friday in 8-hour shifts, while mixed inpatient/outpatient providers typically work four 10-hour days per week with occasional weekend 12-hour shifts. Patient volumes average 10-16 per day in clinic settings and 5-10 inpatients plus 1-2 admissions per day for hospital work.

On-call and weekend requirements apply only to providers performing inpatient services, with occasional night calls requested no more than once every two weeks, requiring the provider to remain in the hospital during call nights. For inpatient providers, the ability to perform paracentesis and central lines is preferred. The contract may accommodate multiple providers rotating on the same award depending on availability, as has been done successfully previously. Inpatient capability is preferred but not mandatory, and the facility will accept providers interested only in outpatient coverage.
