Section 7.0 Performance-Based Requirements: Section 7.3.5 Question 1: What happens if the contractor has requested supplies and/or purchase orders with which to obtain necessary supplies; however, the staff who have the ability to supply the purchase orders and fulfill the supply orders, are not able to produce the purchase orders and/or supplies? Is the contractor held liable for the lack of necessary hearing aids/supplies?
Answer: No, the contractor will not be liable. We ask that the contractor document all requests and work with the Contracting Officer Representative to resolve any issues that arise from lack of supplies.
Section 9.0 Work Schedule Question 2: This section indicates that this contract requires 2 clinic days per month. Please specify the quantification of a “clinic day” (i.e. certain number of scheduled patients, hours, combination of both number of scheduled patients and hours).
Answer: The facility hours are M-F 7:30-5:00. The expectation of the Audiology clinic would be to schedule 14 patients during that timeframe. Scheduling format for audiology can be discussed with clinic staff upon award of the contract.
Section 9.0 Work Schedule Section 9.2 Question 3: This section indicates that the contractor must notify the clinic of any absence that exceeds 8 work hours. Since this is a contract for 2 clinic days a month, will the contractor then list all the other days of the month as days that are unavailable?
Answer: No. The requirement to provide notification for being absent for a shift (8 hours) would only be for shifts that you are scheduled to work.
Section 13.0 Health Requirements/Conditions of Employment: Section 13.2 Question 4: Will medical exemptions be accepted for those who certain vaccines are medically contraindicated?
Answer: Yes. Medical exemptions for vaccines will be accepted.
