About this file
This is Amendment #001 to Solicitation 75H70726Q00030 issued by the Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (IHS), a division of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). The amendment extends the response deadline to 5:30 PM MST on February 13, 2026, and makes corrections to the solicitation requirements regarding waste collection and disposal services.
The solicitation seeks a single firm-fixed price purchase order for monthly Medical Waste Collection and Disposal Services and as-needed Pharmaceutical Waste Collection and Disposal Services for the Jicarilla Service Unit in Dulce, New Mexico. Medical waste requirements specify up to 15 43-gallon containers collected and disposed monthly, while pharmaceutical waste (medium-size gallon containers) will be collected on an as-needed basis. The resulting contract will consist of a base year plus four option years, with a start date as soon as possible. The solicitation is subject to a cascading set-aside under the Buy Indian Act (25 U.S.C. 47), with offers first solicited from Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEEs) that are also small business concerns, followed by all other small business concerns if insufficient competition or reasonably priced offers are not received from the first tier. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment prior to the response deadline and note in their proposals whether containers will be provided.
