Are ID badges required on this site? (Solicitation offer sec G.7.)
ID Badges are not required
Is a written Safety and Accident plan need to be provided and when? (Solicitation offer sec H.7.)
A written safety and accident plan is not necessary
Is a Flint and Walling pump alternative to the Grundfos and Goulds brand acceptable? We find the F&W pumps to be better quality pumps. (Attachment 3, Specification Part 2, 2.1,A)
Flint and Walling submersible pumps are prequalified and suitable for use
Attachment 3, Specification lists the NSF certification under the water treatment items. Is this requirement the NSF certified parts used for the system (Very common,) or the whole system to be NSF certified (This is not common and would be very expensive to have done.) (Attachment 3, Specification Part 2, 2.8)
The requirement is for individual components to be NSF certified
The water treatment system described in the documents is an older technology. The large pump and water treatment supplier in the state has said these parts will be very difficult to find because they are rarely used any more
Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with the requirements identified in the solicitation. If offering a substitute, the contractor shall provide a separate cost proposal identifying the item to be substituted (refer to specifications, drawings, etc.) and sufficient manufacturer product and technical data (include certifications), that show the proposed substitute meets all specified requirements.
This shall be in addition to the cost proposal submitted based on the solicitation requirements. This shall be a separate PDF labeled "Substitute Cost Proposal". A proposed substitute does not commit the Government to accepting it.
