About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a renovation project at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina, specifically for Buildings 4295 and 4296 under Work Order #7581446.
The project encompasses four primary work categories: painting, flooring, shower maintenance, and lighting replacement. For painting, the contractor must paint all interior previously painted surfaces (approximately 348,046 total square feet across both buildings) using specified Sherwin-Williams colors with either semigloss or flat finishes depending on surface type and location. The flooring work requires removal of existing materials and installation of new Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) flooring conforming to ASTM F1700 specifications with a 40-mil wear layer, covering approximately 79,676 square feet, along with installation of resilient rubber cove base. Shower work involves deep cleaning, removal and replacement of all existing caulk (approximately 80 linear feet per shower), and application of new 100% silicone mold and mildew-resistant caulking. Lighting replacement requires removal of approximately 804 existing interior fixtures (402 per building) and installation of new LED fixtures with electronic drivers meeting specified lumen and wattage requirements. All work must include protection of building contents and systems, daily cleanup, and compliance with comprehensive safety and security requirements including DBIDS registration for personnel access, LOTO procedures for electrical work, and adherence to EM 385-1-1 safety standards. Submittals required prior to work commencement include product data sheets, samples, warranties, and spare parts documentation. The contractor must maintain a single Superintendent/Quality Control Manager/Site Safety Officer position and submit warranty management and operations and maintenance documentation at project closeout.
