Questions & Answers
Question #1:
The statement of work says to “clean floors” can you expand on what portions of the floor are to be cleaned and what methods are expected? I.E.; wiped down, vacuumed, sanitized, chemically cleaned?
Answer #1:
It is expected that the track the floor tiles rest on will need to be cleaned. Expected methods would be both wipe down to remove dirt from track and vacuum to remove dirt that falls from track to floor below.
Question #2:
Will there be two circuits for vacuum use?
Answer #2:
120 volt 20 amp outlets will be available. They are normal convenience outlets.
Question #3:
Can you provide any photos of the site?
Answer #3:
No photos are not allowed. No recording device is allowed in the space to include phones, cameras, smart-watches.
Question #4:
Was there prior damage or other reason to the floor causing a need for adjustment?
Answer #4:
Tiles are loose, flooring is not level in some areas. It is believed lack of preventative maintenance and not using due care when space below the floor have created an unsafe condition.
Questions #5:
We reviewed the statement of work, and the manufacturer of the floor system is not provided.
Please provide the manufacturer’s name, in addition to the tile make and color?
Answer #5:
Name of manufacture is not known. Tile color is not required for this work. Contractor will have to invest the time to identify the manufacturer of the tile system in order to provide list of repair materials needed if any. No replacement parts are required during this process. This is for cleaning, adjusting, evaluating overall condition of tiles and support system.
Questions #6:
Can you provide pictures of the floor?
Answer #6:
No cameras are allowed. No pictures are available.
Question #7:
Lastly, could you please provide the magnitude for the project?
Answer #7:
Scope indicates approximately 1,815 square feet of raised flooring to be inspected, evaluated, adjusted and cleaned. Not sure what else they would require?
If they have any experience with raised flooring then they should be able to determine from that approximately how many tiles there are. Overall dimensions of industry standard tiles do not change.
