About this file

This is Amendment 0002 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) 70Z0G126BSLIS0SL1 for Major Maintenance and Repair (M&R) work at Montauk Springs Housing, located at USCG Sector Long Island Sound in East Hampton, NY 11937. The amendment was issued on June 24, 2026, by the USCG Civil Engineering Unit Providence, with contracting officer Simon W. Leung. The primary purposes of this amendment are to provide responses to Request for Information (RFI) questions and to include the sign-in sheet from the pre-bid site visit held on June 10, 2026. The amendment extends the bid due date to July 9, 2026, at 2:00 PM local time in Warwick, RI.

The RFI responses address three key inquiries: confirmation that no additional organized site visits will be scheduled beyond the June 10, 2026 event, though prospective bidders may conduct independent "drive-by" site visits of the seventeen properties' exteriors from publicly accessible streets (with interior access and resident contact strictly prohibited); provision of the pre-bid site visit sign-in sheet as Attachment No. 6; and approval of a one-week deadline extension to allow subcontractors adequate time for accurate pricing across all property locations. All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain unchanged, and the USCG notes that additional RFI responses will be posted in a subsequent amendment with no further questions being accepted.

Request for Information (RFI) Questions and Responses:

Question (Q) 3: Please confirm whether a site visit opportunity remains available or can be arranged for prospective bidders, and the procedure to attend.

Response (R) 3: A formal, organized pre-bid site visit was held for this project on June 10, 2026. No additional organized site visits will be scheduled.

However, as the seventeen (17) properties are located on publicly accessible streets in East Hampton, NY, prospective bidders are permitted to conduct a "drive-by" site visit of the exteriors of the properties at their own discretion. Access to the interior of any property or direct contact with residents is strictly prohibited. Bidders are responsible for independently familiarizing themselves with the site conditions as part of their bid preparation.

Q4: Please provide the site visit attendee sign in sheet.

R4: The sign-in sheet from the pre-bid site visit held on June 10, 2026, is hereby attached to the Amendment 0002 as Attachment No. 6 - Pre Bid Site Visit Sign-In Sheet

Q5: Due to the timing and scope of this project, several of our subcontractors have requested additional time to prepare accurate pricing for all property locations. To ensure that each location receives the appropriate level of review and attention, we respectfully request a one-week extension to the current deadline.

R5: The due date is extended to 09 JULY 2026 AT 2:00 PM LOCAL TIME, WARWICK, RI.

Q6: We would like to respectfully request a bid date extension to allow us additional time to thoroughly review the project and prepare our proposal. Several of our subcontractors have also asked for more time to finalize their pricing so they can provide the most accurate and competitive quotes possible. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to submitting our proposal.

R6: The due date is extended to 09 JULY 2026 AT 2:00 PM LOCAL TIME, WARWICK, RI.
