Amendment 0002 12/18/2025

1.a. (continued)

Responses to Pre-Bid inquiries received to date are provided as follows:

Question #1: Would you happen to have a set of drawings that has the background grid lines turned off? The Grid Lines makes to difficult to read the plans.

Response #1: There’s a layer you can turn off, even on PDF, however a revised set of drawings is provided. See file “12.c.

Drawings Pacific Panels Smith Hall Revised Amendment 0002”.

Question #2: The project title, “Replace Federal Pacific Panels”, does not appear to align with the scope of work described in Section B of the subject Solicitation and Specification Section 01 11 00, Page 2, paragraph 1.1 subparagraph B. 1. through B.4.

Response #2: The project description provided in Section B of the subject Solicitation and Specification Section 01 11 00, Page 2, paragraph 1.1 subparagraph B. 1. through B.4. are associated with another project we currently have post on SAM.gov, for McAllister Hall Room 201 Auditorium Repairs. It appears these paragraphs were not revised appropriately in accordance with the requirements for the Smith Hall Electrical Panel Replacement project. To make the appropriate correction, a revised set of Project Specifications is provided. See file “12.c. Specifications Smith Hall Revised Amendment 0002”. In addition, Section B, Supplies or Services and Prices/Costs, General Scope of Work is revised to read as follows:

GENERAL SCOPE OF WORK:

Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, equipment, transportation, disposal and supervision necessary to replace approximately 22 electric panels manufactured by Federal Pacific Panels while maintaining power to Smith Hall at the U.S.

Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT.

The project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of all work, including all equipment, materials, labor, and supervision, necessary to replace all existing federal pacific panels, switchboards, motor control centers, transformers, and associated electrical feeders at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

All work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Specifications for Project No. 27641871, Drawings CC-1381 (36 sheets), and the applicable wage rates incorporated herein.
