Summary of Changes
The purpose of this amendment is to do the following:
1) Provide a list of the following questions and responses:
Specification Paragraph Reference: WI: 01 Para 3.21
Question 1: Para 3.21 states to renew up to 75 linear feet of damaged insulation but then references ten linear feet later in the paragraph and in 3.21.2. May you please clarify the length of insulation to be renewed, for bidding purposes?
Response: This work item is calling out 75 feet of insulation renewal. Please bid accordingly. 10 feet is what is commonly anticipated, but it is confirmed to be 75 feet in this instance.
Specification Paragraph Reference: WI: 02 Para 3.5.1
Question 2: Para 3.5.1 - Does the GFE DPD come with all fastening hardware?
Response: The davit will not have mounting hardware with it. At least it isn't specifically called out in the overhaul spec. KTR to furnish the mounting bolts, and associated hardware
Specification Paragraph Reference: WI: 02 Para 3.6
Question 3: Para 3.6 - Does the Contractor need to procure all materials listed on sheet 1 of DWG 750- WMSL_583_518_1_D and sheet 2 of DWG 750-WMSL-520-004?
Response: Heat Exchanger are provided as GFE. Piping and hoses necessary for relocation must be provided by Contractor.
Recommend Contractor to perform ship check.
Specification Paragraph Reference: WI: 02 Para 3.1.9
Question 4: Para 3.1.9 states to provide transport services. May you please elaborate on what will be transported, the weight, and the distance to/from, for bidding purposes?
Response: The GFE will be delivered to Contractor dockside. Transport services is for the Contractor to move the GFE from dockside to aboard cutter and to remove used davit from cutter to dock.
Specification Paragraph Reference: WI: 02 Para 3.5.4
Question 5: Para 3.5.4 - Do the davit ropes need to be flushed?
Response: For bidding purposes Contractor must make a provision to include lubrication the wire ropes.
Flushing of wire ropes is not required. The flushing requirement applies to the hydraulic system not the wire ropes.
Specification Paragraph Reference: WI: 02 Para 3.6.6
Question 6: Para 3.6.6 - Can the Contractor reuse all the cooler fittings, specifically the titanium flanges?
Response: If the existing fittings are in good condition (No cracks, excessive corrosion) Contractor may reuse them.
