Amendment P00002, effective August 17, 2026, extends the solicitation closing date to August 28, 2026. Additional Question & Answers
1. The Statement of Work does not specify a minimum interior height. Would an interior height of 6 feet 10 inches be acceptable?
Minimum interior height: 7ft 0in
2. Section 3.1 requires an “integrated winch plate and stainless-steel trim on all corners.” Please confirm whether the Government requires one winch plate installed at the front-center of the trailer floor and stainless-steel trim installed on the exterior around each corner of the trailer.
We don’t need a winch plate to install a winch to “pull something out” as in getting a vehicle unstuck, but we do have a 2-5/16 inch tow ball on our trucks and need the appropriate sized receiver on the trailer so we can hook the trailers up to the tow ball on our F-450 trucks and tow the trailers behind them, which needs to be installed at the front-center of the trailer floor, and stainless-steel trim installed on the exterior around each corner of the trailer.
3. Section 3.3 requires overhead LED lighting throughout the interior, controlled by a dedicated wall switch. Should the interior lighting operate on a 120V system powered by the integrated generator, or on a separate 12V system?
Yes, the interior lighting should operate on a 120V system powered by the integrated generator.
4. Section 3.3 requires premium black coin flooring for slip resistance and durability.
Should the same black coin flooring also be installed on the interior surface of the rear ramp door?
Yes, the same black coin flooring should also be installed on the interior surface of the rear ramp door (prevents slips/falls when loading/off-loading gear to and from the trailer).
5. Can you tell me if you are looking for a fully aluminum trailer or just the exterior walls?
Steel trailer frame with aluminum walls.
